The Cambridges in Mable’s Paint Pot

Last weekend, 15th August, The Duchess of Cambridge along with her three lovely children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were spotted at Mable’s Paint Pot in Burnham Market, King’s Lynn, a pottery painting shop near the family’s Norfolk home, Anmer Hall where they’ve spent lockdown!

Also, they made another visit on 14 March, just two days before lockdown was introduced!

In the pottery painting shop, the Cambridge siblings as well as decorating their pottery pieces, they also designed the walls and doing hand prints next to one of the windows.

A photo of their artwork shared on Instagram by another visitor, Charlotte Chambers, taken in March, shows George, Charlotte and Louis’ handprints on a wall. The caption accompanying the photo read: “Spent the afternoon pottery painting so much fun!
Kate Middleton, Prince George, Charlotte & Louis were also here on Saturday!”

Prince George opted for green paint, while his sister, Charlotte, used Orange and Louis went for blue.

George and Charlotte have signed their names, ages and written the date – 14 March 2020 – next to their prints, showing off their impressive handwriting. Adorably, it appears that George initially started to write his name with a backwards ‘G’ before correcting himself and starting again.

The Cambridges are clearly big fans of Mable’s Paint Pot, which is a traditional sweet shop “where people of all ages can get creative with ceramics in a truly enchanting and inspiring setting”.

Visitors to the shop get to pick a piece of white pottery, including plates, mugs, bowls and money boxes, which they can then paint in whatever style they fancy. They already provide all the materials you’ll need.

Once they’re done, staff glaze and fire their creations and they’re ready to collect a few days later. Click here if you want to see the shop’s website!
