The Queen’s 2020 Christmas Reply

My second royal reply was from the Queen Elizabeth. This reply is the first and only Royal reply I have received from the Queen. After this reply, I sent a letter again in 2021, but unfortunately I didn’t receive any reply.

The envelope is the usual from the British Royals. There’s a double postmark on the upper right of the envelope. The Red is the usual from the Court Post Office at Buckingham Palace. The black is an accidental postmark that was stamped when the mail arrived at the Mount Pleasant Mail Centre, where most international mail from the London area is sorted before taken to Heathrow Airport.

The 2nd Postmark says “Royal Mail supporting youth mental health with Action for Children”. I searched the Internet for this slogan, as it wasn’t clearly visible on the envelope. During my research I learned that there is a collaboration between Royal Mail and Action for Children from June 2017 to March 2021.

The back of the envelope features the Queen Elizabeth’s red coat of arms.

The letter reads:

The Queen thanks you for the message you sent for Christmas and the New Year.

Her Majesty greatly appreciates your kind thought for her in this difficult year and hopes you have a happy and peaceful 2021.

In the letter, a difficult year was mentioned, referring to the Coronavirus, which greatly affected 2020 and 2021. Honestly, when I look back on those years now, I feel a little strange.
